After studying textile design at Winchester school of Art, Atlanta cut her styling teeth at The World of Interiors magazine 30 years ago, under the watchful eye of Min Hogg. She then went on to start her career as the assistant in the decorating department at Homes & Gardens Magazines in the golden age of glossies when there were really only a handful of magazines on the news stands. Learning along the way she worked her way up the ladder to become the Decorating Editor there and in1996  launched her successful freelance career contributing to publications such as The Sunday Times, Elle Decoration, Living etc, House & Garden, Harpers & Queen, Marie Claire as well as being part of the original launch team of Red magazine as the Interiors Editor. Her commercial client list includes high profile names such as Habitat, Laura Ashley, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Dorma and Marks & Spencer. She is the author of 5 internationally best-selling books The Relaxed Home, At Home with White, Easy Elegance, Pale & Interesting and Keep it Simple.
